The NRV is a high specification precision engineered piston-type check valve for use in specialist downhole applications.
An NRV located above each ESP turns the Dual ESP System into an automatic system, which allows alternate ESPs to operate without wireline intervention. Its metal to metal Inconel seal faces with precision operation, outlive traditional flapper or poppet check valves.
In single ESP systems, the NRV is used to prevent back spin of the ESP when it is switched or tripped off. In a Dual ESP System, the NRV is used to prevent recirculation through the inoperable or dormant ESP by the operating ESP.
The NRV includes high specification Inconel metal seal faces to maintain protection against erosion and provide long operational life.
